Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Circular Taiwan Network (CTN), the Asia Pacific Circular Economy Roundtable & Hotspot 2025 (APCER & Hotspot) took place from October 20 to 23, 2025, at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei.

The Asia Pacific Circular Economy Roundtable (APCER) was initiated by the Circular Taiwan Network in 2019 to connect stakeholders from government, industry, academia, research institutions, and media. The initiative aims to advance circular economy principles, support Taiwan’s industrial and societal transformation, and strengthen circular collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region. This year’s forum was held in conjunction with the Circular Economy Hotspot, a global initiative originally launched in the Netherlands. Bringing the Hotspot to the Asia-Pacific region for the first time, the event created a major platform for regional dialogue and cooperation on the circular economy.

Co-organized with four government ministries and fourteen think tanks, the forum brought together over 580 participants from 50 countries, including policymakers, business leaders, think tanks, and civil society representatives. During the forum, the “Circular Collaboration for Climate Crisis (CC4CC)” initiative was highlighted as a core guiding principle, fostering collaboration across the Asia-Pacific on circular economy and climate action, and showcasing Taiwan’s leadership and impact in advancing the circular economy.

Take a look back at the most important moments of that week and see how Taiwan is putting circular collaboration into action!
