About the Senior Sustainability Specialist
The Senior Sustainability Specialist will work closely with the company's Circular Department and is responsible for developing and implementing a circular fashion system for the company’s textile business. The work is to support the company’s goal to become carbon neutral by 2030.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Circular Department to implement the company’s circular strategy, including: Circular materials: technical and biological cycle R&D and sales
- Fashion brand partners’ certifications: Sustainability, Traceability, Workers Welfare, etc
- Circular manufacturing: circular solution in water, energy, chemicals, waste, and more
- Collaborate with both local and global partners on circular textile projects
- Engage with other internal departments and staff to foster a culture of collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion across the whole organization
Required Qualifications
- Superior Chinese and English written and oral communication skills
- Strong collaborative interpersonal style and high level of emotional intelligence
- Believes in the value of sustainability and the importance of creating a circular fashion
- Experienced in working with production projects, understanding of manufacturing mindsets
- Willingness to learn and adapt, able to understand new information quickly
- Ability to demonstrate grace under pressure
- Ability to accommodate travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Understand the textile supply chain or had experience in the fashion industry
- Network of the recycling industry and/or agricultural sector
- Able to collect and interpret data to seek and execute solutions
- Knowledge of local and global sustainability trends in regard to fashion, law, and energy
Compensation: > 40,000NTD/month (based on qualification)
Location: Situn District, Taichung, Taiwan
Hours: 08:30-17:30, MON-FRI
